Day 8— Discussion & Problem Based Learning A fun video or a video that can best explains a topic will trigger students interest. And also, asking questions during lesson rather than presenting information will lead students to think reasonably instead of memorizing only. If students could relate their knowledge to real world problems, their interest in the knowledge will be improved.
For example: when discussing about data management and analysis, I can relate the knowledge to their daily life and interest:
What’s your favourite fast-food restaurant?
Ask students to do a survey about which fast food store the students in the school like the most, and how often they go to, and then organize the data into Excel, later on they need to choose the right chart to present the data.
